Major League Indoor Soccer Welcomes Boulder, Colorado
Chicago, Illinois [Aug. 15, 2025] — Major League Indoor Soccer (MLIS) is pleased to announce the addition of Boulder United FC Halo (BUFC Halo) to its team lineup for the 2025-26 season.
BUFC Halo will play its home matches at Foothills Fieldhouse in Denver, the former home of the Colorado Bucks SC whose ownership group made the decision this offseason to cease operations and explore other opportunities.
“We want to thank Josh and Francesca of the Bucks’ for everything over the past two seasons and wish them all the best in their future endeavors,” said Dominic Turcotte, MLIS director of operations. “At the same time, we’re thrilled to continue building our MLIS presence in Colorado with BUFC Halo.”
BUFC Halo is co-owned by brothers Rojesh and Rojan Shrestha, who currently operate Boulder United FC in Colorado’s Premier League.
The Shresthas were introduced to the MLIS through collaborations with league players and saw an opportunity to expand the organization’s reach in the community.
“We are excited to learn and grow the club,” Rojan said. “Our long-term goal is to be the best soccer club in the world and help other clubs and our competitors grow as well. We want it to be a collaborative effort.”
While BUFC Halo is expected to retain approximately 40% of the Colorado Bucks roster, Rojan noted it is a new project with a new coaching staff, and the final lineup has yet to be determined.
The MLIS continues to grow, welcoming new teams from Las Vegas, Orlando, Pittsburgh, Rockford, Salt Lake City, Dallas, and now Boulder for the upcoming 2025-2026 season, with plans to announce more teams in the near future.
